Oakwood Children’s House and Full Day Learning

Did you know that kindergarten is not mandatory in Ontario?  Most parents think that as soon as their child is of kindergarten age that they must immediately enroll them.  Fortunately, this is not the case.  When the change to full day learning was implemented in Ontario, most kindergarten classrooms in Toronto expanded to 30-32 students with one teacher and an assistant.  These changes are affecting our children and their ability to learn in a stimulating, calm environment and little one-on-one teaching.

At Oakwood Children’s House, we offer an incredible, full-day learning program for children from 2 ½ to 6 years old in a beautiful, bright classroom with 16 students and 3 teachers.  We follow the respected Montessori philosophy and our students are well prepared for Grade one.  In fact, most Oakwood Children’s House graduates excel in school after leaving our program.  You can read parent testimonials here.
